Account and Data Deletion

This page explains how to delete your Alo.sy account and the data attached to it. Alo.sy is operated by Shard Soft LTD, Damascus, Syria. The same account is used by the Alo.sy website and by the Alo.sy mobile app, so deleting it removes both.

1. Delete your account yourself

In the mobile app: open Account → Profile → Delete account and confirm the deletion in one of these ways:

• with your password;
• by signing in again with the Facebook, Google or Apple account linked to your Alo.sy account; or
• by asking for a confirmation link by email: we send it to the email address registered on the account, it is valid for one hour, and opening it and confirming deletes the account.

On the website: sign in, open your profile page, scroll to the Delete Account section, and confirm with your password. An account opened with Facebook, Google or Apple has no password, so you confirm by typing the word shown on the screen.

The account is removed immediately and the action cannot be undone.

2. Request deletion through the contact form

If you can no longer sign in, write to us through our contact form: www.alo.sy/en/contacts, entering the email address registered on the account, or state the phone number you registered with, and ask us to delete the account. We verify that the account is yours and complete the deletion within 30 days.

3. What is deleted

• Your account and profile details (name, email address, phone number).
• All of your listings, together with their photos.
• Your saved and favourite listings.
• Messages and enquiries you sent or received.
• Your company or dealer profile, if you have one.
• The access tokens of your signed-in mobile sessions.

4. What we keep, and for how long

We keep no copy of your profile or your listings after deletion. Records we are required to keep by Syrian law, such as accounting records for paid services, are retained for the period the law prescribes. Technical server logs that may contain your IP address are rotated within 90 days.
